As the award winning director of my namesake studio, my passion for creating beautiful experiences is driven by a complex frame of references and influences. There is undoubtedly a Californian sensibility for relaxation and connection to the environment, apropos for the yachting lifestyle, combined with an avowed obsession for craft and materiality. Every design is a nuanced approach to storytelling where our clients play a central role.
Along with sailing, my appetite for design also started early. By the age of five, I was drawing profiles and sections of boats, populating interior arrangements with found objects and notated sketches. Being a maker at heart intuitively led me to expand upon my aesthetic ambitions and I followed various endeavors ranging from high end audio design to creating a skateboard brand and customizing every car I could get my hands on.
After graduating with honors from ArtCenter College of Design, I was named World Superyacht Young Designer of the Year and went to work for Espen Oeino International. Upon returning to California and exercising an entrepreneurial spirit, I launched my own studio that continues to pursue a fascination with the convergence between the built and natural environment.
I am honored to be twice the World Superyacht Award winner for best Refit. My studio’s design sensibilities reflect a multi-faceted dislogued and accomplishment in a wide range of scale and type; From large motor and sailing yacht projects in Europe and America to the development and manufacturing of bespoke furniture to producing artworks in various mediums.
Since 2014 I have had the pleasure to teach at my alma mater and am committed to giving the next generaion of designers in research and discovery of innovative concepts and in-depth creative strategies.
Exploring new territories in design allows my studio to define future yachting contexts and landscapes.
